Unsurprisingly, Microsoft creator and owner Bill Gates is at the top of Forbes The World’s Billionaires list, with an astounding $79.2 billion as his net worth. Luckily, despite making all the money in the world, Gates has famously been rather charitable with his donations. Read More »
We hate to bring more attention to this white and gold v. blue and black dress debate – because let’s face it, the media has been talking WAY too much about it as it is – but it seems that musician John Mayer has a thing or two to say about it via his Instagram account. And well, following those possible marriage and wedding rumors with girlfriend Katy Perry, we figure we could squeeze in just a little be more of Mayer into the news. After all, the guy did a bang up job hosting the Late Late Show a couple of weeks back, no? Read More »
Fans of Larry David have been uber excited about his constant media presence as of late—especially if they’re in the New York City area. The famed Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld creator has been starring in his very first (and probably last, if he has it his way) Broadway play Fish in the Dark. To promote it, David has been making the rounds, and in a new interview with 60 Minutes’ Charlie Rose, the comedian discusses what it was like becoming a rich man based on the success of Seinfeld. Looks like not everyone was thrilled with Dakota Johnson's appearance on last night's Saturday Night Live. Not necessarily because of her actual performance, of course. We're actually speaking of a certain sketch that has now caused a Twitter outrage online. In a father-daughter commercial parody, SNL player Taran Killam played a father dropping off his daughter, who was played by host and 50 Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson, at the airport. The sketch mocks the very same Toyota car commercial in which a father brings his newly enlisted daughter to the airport. In this bit, however, the daughter does not head inside, and she's not in the army. Instead, she catches a ride from someone else––ISIS. Which, as you might guess, is where the outrage came. The sketch left many viewers feeling that the legendary NBC sketch show crossed the line. Read More »

Following word that President Barack Obama is trying to ease our relationship with Cuba, comedian Conan O’Brien chose to head on over there to film an episode of his TBS late night show CONAN. Apparently it wasn’t as easy as he was hoping, but after some time he did indeed get in. And after stopping by Howard Stern’s radio show to discuss the episode, O’Brien made another stop at Comedy Central’s The Daily Show to discuss his experience with Jon Stewart. Of course, it’s good the TBS host made a stop over now. You know, because Stewart will soon be leaving his coveted fake news desk. Read More »

Did Conan O'Brien come out of the closet as gay on last night's episode of CONAN? Nope, not even close, but he did indeed share the screen with Billy on the Street star Billy Eichner in a hilarious bit that showed the TBS host joining the app Grindr, and believe it or not, getting a few responses under the moniker "Frecklef*cker" – or a variation of that. So, who wanted to get freaky with O'Brien? Well, one guy called "Looking to Suck" was hoping to, but it didn't quite work out for him. O'Brien's Grindr bit comes after his ever so successful Tinder remote with actor Dave Franco. Read More »
In a rare appearance, the entire cast of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia – Charlie Day, Danny DeVito, Rob McElhenney, Kaitlin Olson and Glenn Howerton – stopped by Conan O'Brien's CONAN set last night to discuss Season 10 of their FXX hit. If you watched the episode then you know it was incredibly disorganized (mainly due to DeVito) and undeniably hilarious. During their segment, the gang promised more episodes of their series, which will be Season 11 –– contrary to popular belief the series was ending after Season 10. They also discussed that awkward love scene between Day and Olson, who has been married to creator Rob McElhenney for quite some time, the controversial making of Lethal Weapon 6 and, of course, we can forget about DeVito's Frank Reynolds supercut... Fans of Will Smith are gearing up the for ever so anticipated release of the rapper-turned-actor's upcoming film Focus, which stars the former Fresh Prince alongside The Wolf of Wall Street's Margot Robbie. And while the two make a near-perfect pair, or so it seems, it looks as if much of the film's comic relief comes from actor Adrian Martinez, who stars as Smith's righthand man, Farhad. As the lead's "pit bull," as he exclusively tells MStars News, Martinez's character is one who finds himself skeptical of Robbie as she enters the scene and sweeps Smith off of his feet. Read More »
So, did everyone see John Travolta and Idina Menzel make amends during last night's 87th Oscars? You know, because he totally butchered her name at last year's Academy Awards. Well, it appears the two decided to face the music straight on and make a joke of it during last night's ceremony. And while it was great that they were able to create some funny, it seems Menzel and the Oscar writers overlooked one thing ... John Travolta is kind of creepy. Calling out her "very dear friend, Glom Gazingo," Travolta took to the stage with a big smile, ready to rectify any misdoings he may have done the year before. And while he certainly did do that, making us forget all about his hilarious flub last year (kind of), he also succeeded in being really, really, really weird. Read More »
Well, the 87th annual Oscars aired earlier tonight. And while the night was filled with moments of emotion, elation and, for some, disappointment, we couldn’t help but notice that there were also a number of awkward moments from the night’s ceremony. Whether they were from host Neil Patrick Harris, some speeches made by the winners or even just those in the seats doing (or not doing) their thing, the Oscars appeared to make us all feel something. But in the case of this list, we’re going with the feeling of … awkward. So, let’s count down MStars News’ top 5 awkward moments from this year’s Oscars. Read More »
