Following the rant heard around the world in which rapper Wale called up the COMPLEX offices when he didn't make the publication's list of Top 50 Albums of 2013, we're happy to report that all has been forgiven. So much so that the famed Grammy nominee is now featured on their cover alongside the man who made make the call in the first place after hearing the likes of Ariana Grande, Jay Z and Juicy J made the list ... comedian Jerry Seinfeld! If you didn't catch Saturday Night Live this past Saturday, Nov. 15, with guest host Woody Harrelson, then you totally missed out. Easily one of the best SNL episodes the network has churned out in quite some time, it all started with the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 star's monologue, which featured his fellow cast members Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. And as if that wasn't enough, the bit kicked up a notch when they all spoofed Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" from her newest album 1989. Read More »
Back in February of this year, the entertainment industry lost a powerhouse of talent in Philip Seymour Hoffman when he died from a drug mix. The actor, who had appeared in the previous Hunger Games film was reportedly filming scenes for Mockingjay, and had just two left – both of which included dialogue for the two-part film. His death left director Francis Lawrence at a loss for what to do. It’s now being reported that the director refused to use CGI to replace Hoffman, opting to rewrite instead. Read More »
Season 2 of HBO's The Comeback returned to the network just last week (Sunday, Nov. 9). Earlier tonight, episode 2 aired and displayed the return of Jane! Played by actress Laura Silverman, Jane stood as the eyes and ears of The Comeback (in the show) throughout Season 1 - somewhat acting as the audience to a degree. During tonight's episode, we find her character rather reluctant to get back into the swing of things, mainly due to the harsh reality of Hollywood. Regardless, either with her immense charm or unbelievable persistence, Valerie manages to bring Jane back to the team to shoot some BTS (that's behind the scenes!) footage of her new series Seeing Red. Laura Silverman recently spoke with MStars News about the return of The Comeback, the genius behind Lisa Kudrow and Michael Patrick King's writing and her future own plans! Read More »
With the return of Lisa Kudrow’s Valerie Cherish-led HBO series The Comeback last week, we were curious as to how creator Sex and the City’s Michael Patrick King was going to re-introduce Cherish’s trusty sidekick and producer, Jane, for Season 2. Well, tonight’s episode answered that question! Laura Silverman returned to the series, reprising her role as Kudrow’s producer… with a little twist. Read More »

Last night’s induction ceremony from Asbury Park’s Convention Hall was a star-studded event. From The Sopranos stars Vincent Pastore, Tony Sirico, Vincent Curatola and Aida Turturro to NBC Nightly News host Brian Williams – and his surprise presenter Bruce Springsteen (!!!!) – Thursday night’s even proved one thing… Jersey Pride runs strong throughout its resident’s veins! And while the night was surely one of celebration, it was also one of remembrance, specifically to former Tony Soprano, James Gandolfini, who was also inducted alongside Williams and nine other well-deserved inductees. You might not know this, but Sears isn’t necessarily the most popular store around. If you don’t know that, you probably shop there (not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course). Regardless, fear not! Austin Powers and Shrek star Mike Myers is here to help out… Sears Canada, specifically. Because of the company’s increasingly low-reputation and their ever-decreasing revenues, the writer-actor stepped in to appear alongside his brother, Peter – a longtime Sears employee – for the below silly ad. After comedian Hannibal Buress had some not-so-great (but apparently truthful) things to say about legendary comic Bill Cosby, the world has pretty much turned against the famed Cosby Show star. Last week, when his people decided to create a Meme contest on Twitter, it backfired tremendously with those around the Twittersphere making memes calling the comedian a rapist and mocking the allegations – and not in his favor. Now, it seems one of his rape victims, Barbara Bowman, is speaking out. Not just against Cosby, but against us all. Read More »
After kicking off Season 5 of his hit web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Jerry Seinfeld continued along just yesterday (Thursday, Nov. 13) with guest Amy Schumer from Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer. And while the episode itself ran rather swimmingly, the 1971 Ferrari Daytona... just didn't. Yep, that's right. The car just broke down during the comedians' "bad date." Read More »
We’re curious which was more of a rocky ride: Bono and U2’s whole Songs of Innocence Apple iTunes free download debacle or a more recent mishap where the rear hatch of his private jet opened mid-flight and came off while he was heading to Germany. Or, of course, there’s the incident where Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins said the iconic Irish rock group’s new album “sounds like a fart.” That was pretty bumpy too. Read More »
