In a recent blog post on his Fan Asylum page, ex-frontman of the 1980s rock group Journey, Steve Perry, opened up about his recent battle with cancer and the surgery he underwent to stay healthy. He also got to talk about his late girlfriend Kellie Nash who died last December from complications due to breast cancer and brain cancer. During the finale of the seventh season of "Britain's Got Talent," an unruly viola player pelted notoriously narky judge Simon Cowell with eggs. Though the culprit, Natalie Holt, was on stage as a back up performer for the Opera-singing brothers Richard and Adam Johnson, she still walked straight up to the edge of the stage to get in range of the judge's table. Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Ros have just announced a fall North American tour in support of their latest album Kveiker, which is due out next week on XL Recordings. For about a month, the group will be performing in North America, which will start after a summer of touring throughout Europe. Legendary funk guitarist Nile Rodgers recently revealed that he had one of the most awkward conversations of his life with pop star Madonna back in the 1980s while he was producing her hit record Like A Virgin. According to Rodgers, who most recently collaborated with Daft Punk on their hit single "Get Lucky," the "Holiday" singer became angry with him because he did not try to sleep with her during their time working together. Vanessa Hudgens was recently seen in the bad girl flick Spring Breakers and it seems like she is continuing her experimentations with edgy roles now that the trailer for The Frozen Ground has come out. In this thriller, Zac Efron's ex-girlfriend portrays a prostitute who is hired by a State Trooper played by Nic Cage to help track down a serial killer (John Cusack). Though we are used to Cage in a leading, heroic role, this film offers to us some new looks at both Hudgens and Cusack as otherwise interesting choices for these parts.
