News of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 cutting all of the scenes featuring Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson led to rumors of the actress being cut out of the franchise completely. Two more sequels to Marc Webb's Andrew Garfield-starring superhero franchise were confirmed earlier this week, so Woodley's cut is very harrowing for the actress. Plus it looks like a replacement has already been found for the role of Mary Jane! Canadian actress Sarah Gadon (Cosmopolis, A Dangerous Method) has just been cast. Disney XD's forthcoming animated series Star Wars: Rebels is replacing the since cancelled animated show Star War: The Clone Wars, but it still shares some essential aspects as its predecessor. Like Clone Wars, Rebels will act as a bridge between two chapters of the Star Wars universe (Episodes III and IV). Other Star Wars projects coming out of the merger with Disney are also starting to cultivate some buzz. Along with Rebels and the 2015, J.J. British boy band One Direction are currently on their "Take Me Home" world tour, but that doesn't mean they have stopped thinking about their documentary and concert movie This Is Us. The boys released a short, new trailer for the 1D3D film project and this time we get to see Harry Styles visit his old bakery where he used to work and Zayn Malik and Liam Payne simply take their shirts off. Last week some photos were spreading around the Internet, showing Silver Linings Playbook actress Jennifer Lawrence and Warm Bodies actor Nicholas Hoult hanging out together. The two are currently in Montreal filming X-Men: Days of Future Past, so it makes sense that they would be spending time together. Due for a September 19, 2013, release, One Direction: This Is Us will give fans of the world's biggest boy band a glimpse into the lives of Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles. Directed by filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, this film will be presented in 3D and features live footage, backstage antics and personal documentation of the boys' lives. Liam Payne of One Direction dated dancer Danielle Peazer for about three years (give or take a split or two) but the two parted ways in late spring of 2013. Unfortunately for Peazer, that does not mean death threats and other forms of harassment from One Direction fans have ceased in any way. Peazer is now an ambassador for The CyberSmile Foundation, which is launching Stop Cyberbullying Day on Friday 21st June 2013. Robert Downey Jr.'s multi-film contract with Marvel Studios ended with this year's Iron Man 3 and speculation around the character's return in more Avengers films has been heating up ever since. In recent interviews, the charismatic actor said that he would play the character up until his 50th birthday, which would have been 2015. But today Marvel Studios announced that Downey and Iron Man would be returning for two more Avengers films, most likely concluding in 2018. Bleeding Cool has gotten its hands on "100% confirmed" casting calls for 2015's Star Wars: Episode VII. This is the first official piece of news in terms of casting for the J.J. Abrams-directed film that has been confirmed so far. Open casting reportedly started today in the United Kingdom and according to these casting calls, the lead character might be a teenage female. World War Z finally hits theaters tomorrow June 21 after a long battle with re-writes and distribution. Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt both stars in and produced the apocalyptic thriller, and it was not an easy task. Talk about the film being over budget, executives being fired and Pitt ceasing communication with director Marc Foster were just some of the crazy speed bumps that this film faced. Another huge part of the movie (based on the 2006 Max Brroks novel of the same name) was the script. "Lost" creator Damon Lindelof was brought in to consult and then ultimately fix the film's ending. Miley Cyrus might be all over the news these days thanks to her music video for her new song "We Can't Stop," but her reportedly on-again fiancé Liam Hemsworth's latest movie trailer is certainly newsworthy. Empire State -which will be released on September 3, 2013 - is a movie about two childhood friends who become armored truck security personnel and organize a robbery. Hemsworth stars alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who is the detective in charge of the robbery case. Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, will reportedly follow in the footsteps of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, by planning a natural birth in Lindo wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington. The birth, allegedly scheduled for mid-July, will take place in the same place where Prince William was born. Also, the royal birth of the future heir to the throne will be announced in a traditional as well as a modernized way. Last week's episode of NBC's Hannibal, "Releves," was most likely the most stressful of the first season of the thrilling drama. With Will Graham's (Hugh Dancy) mounting psychological and neurological issues going unchecked, his state of mind is unraveling and Dr. Lecter is planting an insane amount of "seeds of doubt."
