Reports confirm that Sheryl Phillips, the mother of popular "American Idol" champ Phillip Phillips, was arrested and charged with a DUI on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14). According to law enforcement, Mama Phillips was spotted swerving across lanes of traffic in Albany, GA on Thursday. When pulled over, she was unable to complete a field sobriety test and officers had reason to believe that she was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Sheryl has allegedly been going through some tough times over the past few weeks, recently splitting from her hubby and experiencing some intense family problems steaming from tight money issues. During the State of the Union Address on Tuesday (Feb. 12), Congressman Steven Cohen turned some suspicious heads when he was spotted sending "flirty" tweets to a sexy, 24-year-old model right in the middle of President Obama's annual speech. But it turns out 56-year-old Cohen's mysterious social networking actions were in no way scandalous... the young blonde bombshell is in fact his daughter, Victoria Brink. Cohen later admitted that he only discovered he had a college-aged daughter about three years ago, and he had yet to come out publically with it. An 11-ton meteor flew across the Russian sky over the Ural Mountains, followed by a bright flash and then a loud "thundering sound," leading to more than 950 people needing medical attention. The Russian Academy of Sciences released a statement saying that the meteor entered the Earth's atmosphere at a speed of at least 33,000 mph and broke apart about 18-32 miles above ground. Meteorite fragments fell from the sky over the Chelyabinsk region of Russia, causing plenty of damage. Many of the incidents of injury were from fragments of glass resulting from the explosions and at least 110 people have been hospitalized. 159 victims are children. Read More »

Reports confirm that former "Melrose Place" starlet Amy Locane-Bovenizer was recently sentenced to three years in prison for vehicular homicide after being charged in a deadly DUI crash that took place back 2010. The 41-year-old actress' blood-alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit when the incident occurred, which resulted in the death of Montgomery Township, NJ resident Helene Seeman. Reports confirm that University of Alabama Crimson Tide football players Tyler Hayes, Eddie Williams, and D.J. Pettway were recently charged with two counts of second-degree robbery after violently beating up and stealing from two fellow students. Ryan Reynolds has indeed punched co-star Scott Speedman on the set of there new film, Queen of the Night, but do not worry; it was part of the script! The Atom Egoyan directed movie, which also stars Rosario Dawson, centers on a man trying to locate his kidnapped daughter. The 36-year-old Reynolds portrays the father who originally believes his daughter to be dead but upon receiving clues to the contrary he starts his search.
