Former Brigham Young University star and current NBA player on the Sacramento Kings Jeffer Fredette is suing a Utah-based clothing company, Black Clover Enterprises, for $50,000 plus royalties. Fredette's Salt Lake City-based attorney, Tyson Snow, filed the lawsuit on Monday in Utah's 3rd District Court against Black Clover Enterprises. The suit alleges a breach of contract, "abuse of Fredette's identity and using his name and likeness for profit." According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the longtime employer of the legendary film critic, Roger Ebert has died today at the age of 70 years old. Ebert had fought a perilous battle with cancer throughout his life. He was regularly treated for salivary gland cancer, thyroid cancer and cancer of the jawbone. Eventually, he lost his jaw and his ability to talk. This however did not slow the critic whom some describe as a poet to slow down. Brandon Watson, one of the stars of truTV’s reality show “Black Gold,” was arrested last week for reportedly driving while under the influence of alcohol and for hitting parked cars with his vehicle and not posting notice afterwards (“hit-and-run”). 24-year-old Marek Lapinski, a software developer from San Diego, California, had his wisdom teeth removed on March 21 and three days later he died. His family is now searching for answers in regards to the medical care administered during the dental procedure. Lapinski was apparently a healthy young man with no history of medical problems, which makes the task of figuring out what went wrong more daunting.
