It looks like Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, will be the first royal mother to have her child's birth announced on the popular social networking website, Twitter. Though this is not exactly traditional in any way, in today's fast-paced news environment posting the announcement on Twitter will be the quickest way to let everyone know of the baby's arrival. It also looks like Kate Middleton has been taking some cooking classes. Last night’s episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones featured a lot of development with some sparse nudity and just one action sequence right at the end. “Second Sons” was still a compelling episode, though. We even got the see the triumphant return of a drunken Tyrion Lannister during his awkward wedding to Sansa Stark. The focus of the episode, however, was on Daenerys and her attempt to win over a group of mercenaries known as the Second Sons. The 2013 Billboard Music Awards turned out to be quite an eventful night considering the Milestone Award-winner, Justin Bieber, was booed by fans during his acceptance speech. But don't feel too bad for the Biebs because he got a kiss on the cheek from his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, too! Though Gomez's friend and fellow pop star Taylor Swift seemed a little turned off by the public display of affection. Though the two only dated for a few months before calling it quits in 2010, a recent interview with ABC's Nightline News features Demi Lovato opening up about her break up with Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. The two split right before they were suppose to tour in support of Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam Tour, so when it happened Lovato was shocked. Series 7 of Doctor Who ended last night with the season finale episode "The Name of The Doctor." Clearly just the title would excite Whovians of all sorts, but the epsidoe really gave us an insight into the latest season's biggest question: Who is Clara Oswald? Great performances from Matt Smith, Jenna-Louise Coleman and some special guests made last night's show one for the record books. Last night we got to see the season finale of Saturday Night Live with Ben Affleck hosting for the fifth time and musical performances by Kanye West. Though these two names are huge draws already, last night's episode also had special farewell sketches for two confirmed departing cat members, Bill Hader and Fred Armisen. The loss of these two comedians will be felt next season, especially is Jason Sudeikis also leaves as he is rumored to do, but saying good-bye was a nice treat. Taylor Swift recently purchased a new home in Rhode Island and apparently one fan considered this an invitation to visit the pop star. Not only did this alleged stalker try to visit the 23-year-old's new home, he swam about 2 miles in the ocean to do so! This 22-year-old fan has since been arrested by the Westerly Police Department for trespassing, which is sad considering he could have just watched the season finale of "New Girl" this week to see Swift! There have been a lot of rumors going around about a possible collaboration between tow of pop music's biggest stars Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber. If this collaboration is true, this is incredible news for the music world and for fans of the two megastars. Although the almost-seven-months pregnant Duchess of Cambridge has an etiquette advisor in Sir David Manning, his wife Lady Catherine Manning recently explained that Kate does not even need such a person in her life. Lady Manning explained that her husband serves more as a mentor and that the Duchess has natural poise, despite many people considering her a commoner who is out of place in her the royal family. Astronaut Chris Hadfield returned to Earth this week after serving a few months as Commander of the International Space Station. During his time in space, Hadfield became somewhat of an Internet sensation, hosting a few social networking accounts and posting videos and other information while in space. But after his return home, the famous astronaut admits that he is suffering a lot of physical pain and feels prematurely aged now that he is back experiencing Earth's gravity. Read More »
Last night, British superstar singer George Michael was airlifted to a London hospital after a car crash on the M1. The former Wham! Member was in the passenger seat of a friend's Range Rover when the accident happened during last night's rush hour. Michaels is still in the hospital in a specialist trauma center after suffering some minor injuries. According to Michaels' boyfriend Fadi Fawaz, the 49-year-old pop legend is doing "fine."
